I know there's one question that's on everyone's mind:
"What," you're asking yourself, "Is there to do in Denton, TX the second weekend in March?"
I'm glad you asked. Because the second weekend in March just so happens to be the weekend of the Texas Storytelling Festival.
Should you, person who is asking yourself a ridiculously specific question, happen to be in Denton, TX on Friday, March 11th at approximately 5 PM you'll be able to go to the Rising Stars Concert.
"But Geds," you're saying to me, "I don't know any rising stars! Why would that matter to me?"
First of all, damn, you're picky. I mean, seriously. First you're all, "I totally want to hang out in Denton." Now you're all, "But only if there's some really good reason to." Make up your mind.
And, if it helps, you actually do know a Rising Star: your friendly, neighborhood blogger.
That's right. I'm gonna be on stage at the Texas Storytelling Festival for the first (and hopefully not last) time.
You can buy a ticket just for that or you can buy a ticket for the whole day. Why not do the latter? Hell, come back on Saturday. And Sunday. And hit up the ghost story sets on Thursday.
Um, in the interests of full disclosure, I will probably not be there on Thursday or Sunday. My schedule does not look so good for those days...
Man, if I were in Denton, March would have meaning. As it is, it's just annoying weather switches, lots of wind and frizzy hair for me in PA.

Heya
As if my March didn't have enough quality choices! Unfortunately, Texas stole a sweet set of PJs last time I was there & I've never forgiven her. So, I say Congratulations; I say Break a hambone; and I say Pick your night-wear carefully.
