So today, as it turns out, is the end of the world. Again.
The world keeps ending, it seems. At least this time around if the world actually does end I get to say I made it back to where I wanted to be.
I've been kinda socked in by one of those rapid-temperature-change-sinus-things that Chicago hits me with a couple times a year. I love those things.
Instead of giving you, like, original content, I've got some link-dumpage for the end of the world. And the end of October.
Matt Nathanson would humbly like to offer you a theme song to the Rapture.
Slacktivist offers the real meaning of the end of the world in his usual poetic way.
Ed wants stories about terrible dating experiences. Review one of mine, if you so desire.
MovieBob's Schlocktober. Awesomesauce.
If you're able to get to the Chicagoland area over Halloween weekend there are some great storytelling options:
Friday, October 28th is the Sixth Annual Ray Bradbury Storytelling Festival at the historic Genessee Theater in Waukegan, IL. It's always a great time. I've been to a few.
Saturday, October 29th Megan Wells does Dracula at the equally historic Woodstock Opera House. I first saw her do it at Ray Bradbury back in, um, 2007. It's amazing. I'm told that I didn't even see the entire event.
So sit back, have a Fin Du Monde, and wait for the end of the world. Or the weekend. Whichever comes first.
