Update for the Sake of Updating

Quick update that is the increasing carnival of weirdness that is my tiny, little corner of the internet:

Michael Mock has purchased a copy of Night of the Living Dead Christian in spite of my review (you're welcome, Tyndale House and Matt Mikalatos.  I hope you're happy).  MM is a much bigger fan of monster-related entertainments than I, so he undoubtedly has access to a lot of books that don't contain an evangelical sales pitch.  And I know that he, too, would not be the sort to say, "Tyndale House, I'd love to give them some money."

Also, too, I know I'm getting some traffic from Tyndale House itself, which amuses me.  There's a reasonably good chance that whoever is on that end of the link is someone I know personally.  Or someone who knows people I know personally.  So, hi, Tyndale House people.  Wanna go grab a beer at the Village Tavern?  I haven't been there in years, but might still have my Tav mojo...

And if you want to see a prime example of how Matt could have turned this in to a freaking train wreck, go wander over to Slacktivist, wherein Fred tore an article by one Joe Carter up one side and down the other, only to have Joe Carter show up as the very first comment and engage in every single logical fallacy known to humanity.  It's rather fun to watch, actually.  And I'd feel bad for Joe, but he comes off as a hypocritical ass early and often, what with his arrogance, condescention, and claims that anyone pointing out he's basing his arguments on discredited "research" is being hypocritical and cherry picking evidence.

That actually brings me to another point:  Since I tend to cultivate an internet asshole persona it might seem surprising that I put the knives away when Matt showed up in the comments.  That's probably doubly surprising for anyone who has seen me gleefully antagonize Coldplay fans for no damn good reason (other than the fact that Coldplay sucks and is totally overrated, of course).  There's a reason for this.  Just go to Matt's first comment in Part 1, then go to Joe Carter's first comment over at Slacktivist.  One of those guys did a good job of approaching someone who was obviously not pleased with his work.

I'll give you three guesses as to which one counts as a good example.  The first two don't count.

I just thought I'd throw that out there as a review while I re-tool for Part 4...
