Hi everybody!
So, um, the Great House "Purchasing" Fiasco of 2011 has been kind of mentally and emotionally draining for me. And next week is end of year review time, so I've been desperately trying to remember what I said I'd do by the end of 2011 at work.
And I've been doing a sweet Vanguard run at Mass Effect. Mostly because I don't have the energy or mental capacity to do anything else. And there's really nothing more fun than hitting a Geth Juggernaut with Lift, then loading it with a few dozen Inferno VIII rounds. Except for hitting a Krogan Warrior with lift on Virmire and watching the poor fellow disappear in to the blue, blue sky.
Anyway, Michael Mock bought Night of the Living Dead Christian. And he's been reviewing it. Oh, and Matt Mikalatos has offered some insights in to how he got in to Christian publishing, which are interesting, since it seems that the Christian publishing industry has actually changed a bit over the last decade.
I have every intention of getting back to my scintillating review next week.
Also, too, if you're in the Chicagoland area over the next couple weeks: today (Friday, November 4th) you can see Reckless Kelly at Joe's on Weed Street. Also, too, I'll be there. Mike Doughty's at the House of Blues next Saturday. And Cody Canada and the Departed are at Joe's with Sons of Bill the following Friday. That's good freaking music right there. Show up. Say hello. Rock out.
Did you get the house?

Ha! No.
I've now had one deal fall through, one guy use me to drive up a competing cash offer, and three other places go off market the day I said, "Hey, I want to look at that place." I'm now moving on to Plan F, I think. And that's kinda why I've been distracted.
After that I'm going to go with Plan Van Down By the River. But I probably won't be able to buy a van at the rate things are going.
